Terms of Service
Last updated September 30, 2026
These are the terms for using Unisole (the "service"). They are written in plain language on purpose. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Unisole is
Unisole is a dashboard that shows an LMU student their assignments, announcements, and important emails in one place. It was built by an LMU student and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Loyola Marymount University, D2L (Brightspace), McGraw Hill, or Microsoft.
It is free right now
Unisole is free to use today. If that ever changes, you will be told inside the app before anything is charged, and you will be able to delete your account first.
How it reads your data
Unisole reads your own class data through the logins you already have in your own browser, using a small Chrome extension you install. It reads only your own information from Brightspace, McGraw Hill Connect, and your LMU inbox. It never sees, stores, or transmits your passwords or verification codes, and it never acts on your behalf on those sites: it only reads.
What is stored, where, and how it is protected is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Your account
- You need an LMU email address to create an account, and you are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting it removes everything synced to it.
- You agree to use Unisole only for your own classes and your own data, and not to interfere with the service or with the school sites it reads.
What you should expect
Unisole depends on school sites that change without notice. Sometimes a sync will lag, a site will need you to sign in again, or something will not show up. Always treat Brightspace, Connect, and Outlook as the source of truth for deadlines and grades. Unisole is a convenience, not a substitute for checking them.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Unisole and its creator are not liable for any missed deadline, lost data, or other loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
These terms may change as the service grows. When they do, the date at the top changes and anything important is announced inside the app. Continuing to use Unisole after a change means you accept the updated terms.
